Dormant Fire Sprinkler Systems

FPC will be featuring Dormant Fire Protection Systems in our November 2024 edition, and we would like your input.

Please consider sending us an article of about 800 words or less, or answer one or more of the following questions:

  • What is a dormant fire sprinkler system?

  • Who is responsible for a dormant fire sprinkler system, and who should be informed about such a system?

  • When should a fire sprinkler system be deactivated, and who should be involved?

  • How should one proceed with the deactivation/reactivation process? What are the steps?

  • Why is it important?

We will include advice, opinions, and analysis of facts related to these systems.

Please submit articles and photographs for consideration by October 3, 2024 (Please contact us if you need an extension.)

Note: color photos will be considered for use on the cover.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss an article or this feature, please contact me.

Sincerely,

Brant Brumbeloe
